Congratulations, IAC graduates! Please review the information provided below to ensure a seamless day of celebrations!

RSVP

All graduates eligible to walk in Spring 2025 should have received an email in February with instructions to RSVP for both the Institute and College ceremony in Tassel. All RSVPs must be submitted by Friday, March 14, to guarantee participation. An RSVP is required to participate in both the College and Institute ceremonies. If you did not receive an email invitation to RSVP, please contact events@gatech.edu

Seating for the ceremony will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis; on-site overflow seating will be available if the main ceremony space is filled. Please visit our Guests page for more information.

Student Speaker

The Ivan Allen College Master’s Graduation Celebration Event Planning Committee is now accepting applications for a student reflective speaker. The speaker should be a Spring 2025 IAC Master’s degree graduate or recent IAC Master’s alum and must be in good academic and judicial standing with
the Institute. The speaker should feel comfortable speaking at a podium in front of large audiences and should give positive, inspiring remarks that
resonate across all IAC disciplines. Coaching will be provided to the selected student to assist them in refining their message. Please contact graduation@iac.gatech.edu with any questions. To apply, submit the student speaker application form by Friday, March 28.

Regalia and Dress Code

All graduates who walk across the stage at the Ivan Allen College Master’s Graduation Celebration must wear their Master’s Regalia. To learn more and order your regalia, please visit the Institute Commencement website. Graduates are encouraged to leave bags and other personal items at home. Additional regalia, including caps and hoods, will not be available at the venue for loan.

Professional Photography

GradImages, the Institute’s official graduation photographer, will take portraits of each graduate as they walk across the stage and after they have received their diploma. GradImages photographers will also be available to take photos of students with their guests after the ceremony. Images will be available to order through GradImages, which will email proofs to each graduate about a week after the ceremony.

What to Do on Commencement Day

Graduates and their guests will be released to attend the Ivan Allen College Master’s Graduation Celebration at the conclusion of the Institute ceremony, around 10:15 a.m. Doors to the venue will open one hour prior to the start of the graduation celebration.

When you arrive at the Exhibition Hall, graduates and guests will be directed to separate entrances. Once you arrive and check in with the event staff:

  • Graduates will need to sit with their respective departments or Schools in designated seating. Event staff will be available to direct you to the correct location.
  • After the ceremony begins, you will be guided to the stage by row, with no formal processional.
  • As you approach the stage, present your StagePass to the Events team before going on stage (tip: have a screenshot ready).
  • Your name will be announced and displayed on the screens as you receive your faux diploma.
  • After you exit the stage, you will get photographed by GradImages before returning to your seat.
  • At the end of the ceremony, graduates will recess as a group to the reception space with the stage party.
  • As a courtesy to your fellow graduates, we ask you please remain in your seat until the ceremony concludes.

Event Livestream

For those who cannot attend in person, we invite you to tune in to the event livestream on this website. Details for logging on to the stream will be shared closer to the event date.
